The Wendover Care Home project is an 80-bed facility on the outskirts of Wendover, delivered for Salvero Care with Lifebuild Solutions as the main contractor.
The scheme includes full mechanical services, covering heating and hot water, air conditioning, ventilation, sprinkler systems, dry risers, and a Building Management System (BMS).
Heating and hot water are provided by three external Mitsubishi CAHV air source heat pumps, serving a central plant room for distribution throughout the building. Two-pipe heat recovery air conditioning systems serve communal areas, maintaining comfort all year round. MVHR systems ensure continuous fresh air supply and improved air quality within shared spaces.
Fire safety provisions include a Category 3 sprinkler system and dry risers to support safe evacuation and fire suppression. The BMS oversees all mechanical systems, providing monitoring, fault detection, and efficient performance management.
This project delivers a fully integrated, energy-efficient building designed for resident comfort, safety, and long-term operation reliability.
